During use, the 9486 polisher releases the impregnated silicon particles to achieve consistent results and easily adapts to surface contours while remaining dimensionally stable, making it suitable for splint techniques. The 9486 is built for smooth operation and resists tilting during application to the workpiece. It is supplied unmounted: the silicon-impregnated polisher can be easily mounted for quick use with the Komet mandrel (disk holder) 305.HP.080. For optimal results, the wheel operates at an optimal speed of 6,000 rpm (maximum 10,000 rpm).
