Wax-up waxes are used for the functional and aesthetic planning of dental restorations, applied to anatomical models or master models mounted on articulators and on different types of structures (metal-ceramic, non-metal, etc.). For this purpose, either white modeling wax or tooth-colored wax is used. The opaque wax has an extremely high covering capacity even in very thin layers, which is important for metal structures. The main application field, in addition to the classic preparation of wax-ups, is the coating of secondary telescopes with wax.
