Arti-Fol® metallic, 12 microns thick, is a high-tech control foil with clearly enhanced properties. This control medium consists of a metallized polyester sheet (Shimstock foil) that is only 12 microns thick. The combination of a metallized sheet with a colored coating offers significant advantages in certain applications. This medium is characterized by very good color transmission. Especially on ceramics and highly polished metal surfaces, contact points are clearly visualized. The use of a metallized sheet significantly reduces the problem of electrostatic charge. This material is also break-resistant and therefore suitable for resilience control. Compared to common Shimstock, the innovative Arti-Fol® metallic accurately marks the contact point. With its metallized back, there is no possibility of confusing the colored covered side with the uncovered side. Arti-Fol® metallic, due to its high break resistance and low thickness of only 12µ, is very useful in controlling contact points when cementing crowns and bridges. With the help of the Arti-Fol® BK 145 clamp for proximal contact points, this sheet is very easy to place. Arti-Fol® metallic is available in 4 different colors. As a complement to Arti-Fol® metallic, we offer the classic Shimstock foil without colored coating in 8mm and 16mm widths.
