Unique instrument for measuring the thickness and height of the cusp. It allows for the evaluation of the need to refine the cusp when preparing an adhesive restoration. Ideal for assessing the strength of the natural dental structure and selecting the restorative technique to be used. If the fork-shaped tip of the instrument penetrates to the markings, the dental structure is too weak to withstand occlusal forces with a direct restoration, and alternative options should be considered.
