Chromadur is a cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy for the fabrication of frameworks. The extremely high level of purity of Chromadur is due to the use of very pure raw materials and special casting procedures in manufacturing. The Chromadur alloy contains no nickel or beryllium and is highly biocompatible with tissues. Vickers hardness 385 HV5, yield strength 570 MPa, elongation at break 5%, melting range 1,350 - 1,370 ºC. Pouring temperature 1,535 ºC.
